Sprachsplitter,

das Individuum im Chor der Klischees.

„Off the world, men!"
Ein Zuruf, ein Spott,
Absprung von der Bühne,
die Welt der Männer –
ein Karussell aus Wiederholung,
aus Selbst-Bild und Spiegelung,
Identität als Zitat.

Hier:
Die Kamera hält fest,
was sich entzieht –
Männlichkeit,
ein globales Spiel,
ironisch, vielstimmig,
zwischen Fakt und Pose,
zwischen Welt und Abgang.

Die Arbeit „the world of men – men of the world – off the world, men!" reflektiert die Inszenierung und Selbstwahrnehmung von Männlichkeit im globalen Kontext. Das Video versammelt Männer unterschiedlicher Herkunft, die sich in scheinbar individuellen, aber oft ähnlichen Rollenbildern präsentieren.

Of self-image and reflection,
Identity as quotation.

The work "the world of men – men of the world – off the world, men!" reflects on the staging and self-perception of masculinity in a global context. The video brings together men from diverse backgrounds who present themselves in seemingly individual, yet often similar, role models.
